International on Fridays, GroupFit Outdoor, Body Groove in the Park

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

On Friday evenings join the International Folk Dancing in Hawthorne from 7 to 10 pm.

On Friday evenings at 6:30 pm you can get some exercise with GroupFit Outdoor Dance at Gainesville Health and Fitness. Free and open to the public.

On Saturday mornings at 10 am join Body Groove at Westside Park with Beth. Donation $5 to $10.

See below for information on attending Machol Miami Israeli Dance Camp taking place near the end of December.

Line Dancing Outside Downtown with Wanda Lloyd on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Beginning Israeli Dancing with Kathie on Thursdays.

As always, if financial considerations are keeping you from dancing, pay whatever you like or come for free.

Vaccinations required, masks optional, to dance at B'nai Israel. If you cannot get vaccinated for some reason, let me know.

Machol Miami Israeli Dance Camp

Hello,

We are back! With lots of fun planned for Dec 25-27 Machol Miami is pleased to invite you to come dance with Gadi Bitton and all your South Florida dance friends. We dance at the MAR JCC in our gym with wood floors and Air conditioning. We need Air Conditioning in South Florida even in December. Stay with friends or we have made an arrangement with the AC Marriott in Aventura for a special rate. All the details including the schedule are on our website www.macholmiami,com. Check it out!

But what about COVID? If you are vaccinated, masks are optional. If you are not vaccinated masks are required. I am pretty sure most, if not all, of our South Florida dancers are vaccinated. Those from out of town? So far every one I have spoken also reports being vaccinated.

How about the dancing? My session on Sunday nights in the MAR JCC reopened in November 2020. We have been slowly adding new dances and remembering dances we have all loved for years. I play a mix of circles and partner dances. I suspect we will have a few line dances too since I have been told that a well known line dance choreographer will be joining us. So come and let's have a great time.

Body Groove with Beth Michelson

Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well. I'm back to teaching and I hope you can join in. Here's a little reminder about the class:

Body Groove is a dynamically interactive and creative group dance experience. With great music, I will, as your facilitator, unite everyone in a simple movement or rhythm but you dance it in your own unique way. While exploring a variety of styles and genres you will experience everything from slow, meditative grooves to heart thumping and strength building cardio beats. The perfect recipe to nurture body, mind, heart and soul.

We will be meeting at the south east side of West Side Park on 8 Avenue and 34th Street. You can park at the pool or by the playground or by the trail entrance. Probably better to park in the parking lots. There are public restrooms close by. When you arrive please sign and date the waiver form.

Come out for four Saturdays in October at 10 am. Donation $5 to $10.
