Determination Tops Discouragement, Contra, Waltz and Swing and Sway coming up next weekend

Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dance Newsletter 2014-02-09

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

This week is dancing as usual with Israeli and English on Monday, Scottish on Tuesday, Line Dancing in Hawthorne on Tuesday and Line Dancing at the Senior Center on Thursday. See the schedule for details.

Friday night Richard has a Valentine's Swing Dance at the Boltin Center with Nick and the Swingtastics.

Next weekend is a Contra Dance on Saturday, Vintage Waltz Brunch Sunday morning and Swing and Sway Sunday afternoon.

Learning to dance can be discouraging. Beginners to advanced dancers feel discouraged all the time, because at every level, getting to the next level requires learning something you cannot currently do.

In your ongoing contest with discouragement, the one aide that can ensure your success is determination. Leave your judgements behind. Try not to measure your progress as good or bad. As long as you are determined to keep persisting, you can be sure you are progressing in your dancing just as you should.
