West Coast Swing on Monday, Salsa on Monday, Hustle on Thursday, Tango and Swing Parties

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Contact me if you would like to join a small, semi-private group for West Coast Swing on Monday evenings from 6 to 7 pm, near Fresh Market, $15.

Let me know if you would like to learn Salsa. Our beginning group just finished and we are contemplating continuing. Also, I may be doing a free Salsa session for this group this Monday evening at 8:30. Contact me if you would like to join us that night.

Richard is teaching beginning Hustle this month on Thursday nights at the Boltin Center at 7 pm. Try to get out there and start learning Hustle, possibly the most exhilirating of social, partner dances. You have a lot of opportunity to dance Hustle at Josh's West Coast Swing dances. A lot of comtemporary music played for West Coast Swing is actually not swing music at all and more suited to Hustle than Swing.

This month Ray and Eileen are teaching Silver Foxtrot on Thursdays. Foxtrot is cool. Give it a whirl.

Tuesdays and Thursdays join Robert Whitehead for yet another version of swing, Texas style, similar to West Coast, from 7 to 9 pm. Free

Other groups are in action as usual, except check UF Clubs before going, since UF is on break and they may not be meeting.

Two dance socials this weekend. If you are not ready to dance, check them out for free. Both at the Movement, 1212 N Main Street. Friday night is an Argentine Tango Milonga Papirusa with Andrea Pham, lesson at 8 pm dancing at 8:30, $10. Saturday night is a West Coast Swing dance with Josh Angel at 7:30 pm, $15, wear green.
