Israeli Dancing Returns this Monday, Senior Line Dancing, Hoedown, Contra, Waltz Brunch

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

Israeli Dancing is back, finally, this Monday, October 12, 7:15 to 8:30 pm, at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd. $5

Line Dancing at the Senior Center at the Senior Center starts back Thursday, October 29. You can register now via Santa Fe College Community Education (SFC) 352-395-5193 or visit www.sfcollege.edu/cied/communityed

This coming Saturday is the Rooterville Sanctuary Hoedown Benefit. Have fun and support a good cause. www.rooterville.org/events

Also Saturday is the monthly Contra Dance at the Boltin Center, followed on Sunday by a Vintage Waltz Brunch at the Movement at 10:30 am, and Swing and Sway at the Senior Center at 3 pm.

The Law of Accelerating Returns

If you lift weights, start jogging or build a skyscraper, in the beginning you make a lot of progress, but as you go along, you have to put in more work and get less benefit. This is the Law of Diminishing Returns.

The opposite is true of dancing. Dancing, like the Internet, is an information technology, which follows the Law of Accelerating Returns. In the beginning, your progress feels slow, but as you go along, you progress faster and faster. Hang in there and you will be rewarded.
