Register Now for Line Dancing, Cairo Nights Belly Dance Funraiser, Tribal Dance with Lacey Sanchez, Two Days of Contra

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

Still no Israeli Dancing this Monday and next due to the Jewish holidays of Succot and Simchat Torah. Israeli Dancing starts again on October 12. Until then, join Kol Simcha on Thursdays..

Week 4 of 4 for beginning Senior Line Dancing is this Thursday at noon at the Senior Center. Call Santa Fe College Community Education (SFC) 352-395-5193 to register for the next 4 week series starting October 8. Beginners welcome.

Two special events this coming weekend. Cairo Nights Belly Dance Spectacular Refugee Fundraiser is Friday Octobr 2 from 8 to 11 pm. Leela Corman and Najmah Nour will be raising money for the International Rescue Committee's work with refugees in Europe and the Middle East, with a raffle and donations. Performances by Najmah Nour, Leela, Olga Garcia, Oralia, Souzan, Nizana El Risan, and more. Live music from Nour Wa Khayal ensemble. On Saturday and Sunday is Two Days of Contra, Waltz and English Country Dancing. The weekend is filled with 12 hours of dance events. The dealine to sign up is this Saturday October 3 for the November 11 Tribal Dance Intensive with Lacey Sanchez The amazingly talented Lacey Sanchez is coming from Orlando to teach this amazing mini-intensive in Gainesville. Lacey's upbeat teaching style is great for either the beginner dancer, or the seasoned professional. Lacey is the Owner of Florida Tribal Dance in Orlando and is the troupe director of Aeonium Dance Collective, Blue Caravan and Silver Sage Florida Tribal Dance's Student troupe.
