Hello and Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,
Line Dancing at the Senior Center resumes with week 3 of 4 this Thursday.
We are Israeli Dancing with Andy tomorrow Monday March 12 at 7:30 pm at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, around the left side in the social hall. $5 per family, college age free.
We are using Kathie's trip to Horati as inspiration for the next few months. We will be learning many of the awesome Israeli dances listed below from the choreographers that will be at Horati.
There are so many dances and too little time. How cane we learn to do so many? There is a trick, which you will be learning, how to do every dance whether you know the steps or not. The trick is not a secret. The trick is dance to the music.
There will also be many partner dances at Horati. Some of us love the partner dances. We are going to do partner dances too. We will do partner dances at the end of the evening. Our schedule is shaping up to look like this.

For the partner dances, for the ladies, you will learn how to follow every partner dance whether you know the steps or not. This way, you can do every dance, without having to learn the steps. This is actually pretty easy to do.
Since we have extra ladies, for those ladies that want, you can lead. You should always try to be a leader for the same dance. That way, you will learn to lead that dance. You will also learn general leading skills, so your partner can follow you.
