Git Up Line Dance, Register Now for December, Movement Retreat, Dancing Fish

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

This Monday tomorrow November 18 we are Israeli Dancing with Andy at 7:30 at B'nai Israel. At 7:30 sharp we will learn the super popular, silly line dance Git Up. We will also learn the beautiful dances Sonata and Tzel Umei Beer In January, we have scheduled a Beginning Israeli Partner Dancing Series with Andy.

This week we are Line Dancing at the Senior Center with Andy 2 of 3 on Thursday November 21 at noon and Line Dancing at the Village with Andy 3 of 4 on Friday November 22 at 2:30. At both dances, at the end of each session, we will learn the Git Up line dance. We will not be line dancing next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We will finish both line dancing series the first week in December.

Register now for Line Dancing in December and Early January This series is on these four Thursdays at noon at the Senior Center: December 19, 26 and January 2, 9. Because the SFC registration system does not allow entering dates when SFC is not in session, this class is listed as being on Wednesday starting 11/27. The number for this class is DAN0045.3R4. The class meets on Thursdays starting December 19. The class does not meet on Wednesdays. Register now at

This Saturday November 23 is Movement, Sound, Silence: A Day Retreat to Reconnect with Self with Sarit from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm. Join Sarit and Caitlyn Vinci for a self-care day of body movement, meditation, and music, hosted by Sarit. A wonderful opportunity to take a day to reconnect with self, nature, and community, at the serene Casa Micanopy Retreat Center, 22259 NW 75 Avenue Road, Micanopy, 32667. Sarit Sela, 605-796-9956.

For a unique experience, come out to this barn dance Saturday night, a Contra Dance with Possum Trot at the Dancing Fish in Melrose.
