Online Line Dancing, Israeli Partner Dancing, Clogging, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

Join us for up to five sessions this week. We are using Zoom so you can interact with others, both the leader and the other participants. You are welcome to just watch. Phil Moss says the most valuable part of these sessions is having a sense of community, for a little time, to break up the isolation.

We are trying different types of sessions. Share your feedback.

All sessions are aimed at Beginner Intermediate level dancers. You do not need experience in these particular dances.

If you are a Novice dancer, meaning you cannot keep rhythm, you are welcome to try, if you do not mind being lost. Let me know if you want a Novice session scheduled.

You do not need a partner for any of the sessions. If you have a partner, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings are when you have the most opportunity to dance with a partner.

Note this is the schedule with Andy for this week only. We may have a different schedule next week.

May 4 Monday 7:00 to 8:00 pm Dance Class Cha Cha and Hustle with Andy, 1/2 hour each. For each dance you will: Warm Up, Review Basic Steps, Instruction for Level I Figure with a Partner, Free Dance.

May 5 Tuesday 7:00 to 8:30 pm Dance Exercise Salsa, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Hustle with Andy Two songs per dance. The first song is a warm up for that dance. The second is a routine you can do by yourself or with a partner.

May 6 Wednesday 7:00 to 8:00 pm Israeli Partner Dancing with Andy You will learn a beautiful Israeli Waltz. The dance is choreographed. You can dance with or without a partner. If there is time, we will learn more than one dance.

May 7 Thursday Noon to 1:00 pm World Line Dancing with Andy You do several world line dances to a variety of music. The first dances in the session are simple. They get more involved as the session goes on.

May 7 Thursday 7:00 to 8:30 pm Dance Class Salsa, Bachata, Swing and Argentine Tango with Andy Same format as Monday, with different dances. Swing is Lindy or West Coast or both.

Other Online Dancing

IndepenDance Studio has online evening classes for Adults in Clogging, Hip Hop, Tap, Conditioning and Stretch, and Ballet.

Wanda Lloyd has online Friday dancing in Step and DFW Swing Out which you can do by yourself.

Ira Weisburd from Boca Raton has online classes in World Line Dance, International Folk and Israeli Dancing.
