Saturday Latin Nights, Contra at the Dancing Fish, New Years Eve

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Come out Thurday December 30 for our end of the year party and my birthday.

Tommorow Saturday December 25 come out for Latin Nights at Vecinos with DJ Enzo at 9 pm.

Next Saturday January 1 Contra Dance at the Dancing Fish in Melrose at 7 pm. You must register first at dancingfish.dance.

Make reservations for the New Year's Eve Ballroom Dance with Ray and Eileen.

Other weekly dancing as usual. See the calendar for more dancing.

Dancing with Andy

Come out next Tuesday December 28 and Thursday December 30 for Social Dancing from 7 to 9 pm. We will have an end of the year party on my birthday Thursday December 30. We may stay late if people want to keep dancing. You can bring kosher snacks.

We are not dancing the first week in January because I will be out of town.

Our next Beginner Series for Swing, Waltz, and Argentine Tango starts Thursday February 3. Best time to start is with other beginners. Beginners are welcome to join our ongoing group classes now, if you do not mind being in a mixed level class.

Let me know you are coming. Invite others. Let me know what dances you would like to do.

Private lessons are avaialable.

All dancing at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 23 Blvd, around the left side, 1/2 mile east of Fresh Market.

These are classes with a lot of practice time. There is about 15 minutes of instruction spread over each hour, so you get in about 10 to 15 dances. We rotate partners. Rotating is not required. Dancing is for all levels. No partner needed.

Tuesdays and Thursdays Social Dancing with Andy
7:00 - 8:00 pm Swing or Other
8:00 - 9:00 pm Waltz or Other
9:00 - 9:30 or 10:00 pm Argentine Tango
For all levels, beginners and experienced
$10 per person

Mondays Israeli Dancing with Andy
7:00 pm Israeli Circle Dancing
8:00 pm Israeli Partner Dancing
$10 per family, free for those that come on Tuesdays or Thursdays

As always, if financial considerations are keeping you from dancing, you can just pay $5, or pay whatever you like, or come for free.

Vaccinations required, masks optional, to dance at B'nai Israel. If you cannot get vaccinated for some reason, let me know.

Body Groove with Beth Michelson

Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well. I'm back to teaching and I hope you can join in. Here's a little reminder about the class:

Body Groove is a dynamically interactive and creative group dance experience. With great music, I will, as your facilitator, unite everyone in a simple movement or rhythm but you dance it in your own unique way. While exploring a variety of styles and genres you will experience everything from slow, meditative grooves to heart thumping and strength building cardio beats. The perfect recipe to nurture body, mind, heart and soul.

We will be meeting at the south east side of West Side Park on 8 Avenue and 34th Street. You can park at the pool or by the playground or by the trail entrance. Probably better to park in the parking lots. There are public restrooms close by. When you arrive please sign and date the waiver form.

Come out Saturdays at 10 am. Donation $5 to $10.
