West Coast Swing, Ballroom in Ocala, Latin and Swing Dancing this Weekend, Contra Dance in Melrose

Join us for West Coast Swing with Andy on Tuesday nights at 7 pm for the next 4 weeks as we get warmed up for Chad's dance party in March.

You can still join our Beginner Series in Swing, Waltz, and Argentine Tango with Andy at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 24.

Enjoy Latin dancing this weekend. Come out this Friday for Valentines with Vecino Bachata Lesson with DJ Brown Sugar from 6 pm to 2 am. Come out Saturday for the Salsa in the Streets Downtown from 9 pm to 1 am.

You can dance to two bands this weekend. Come out Friday night for Real Deelz at The Depot and Speakeasy Room in Micanopy from 7 pm to 10 pm. Come out Saturday night for Swing Theory at One Love Cafe from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Come out Saturday night for the Contra Dance at the Dancing Fish in Melrose at 7 pm.

Come out this Sunday February 20 for the Lady in Red Ballroom Dance Party in Ocala where doors open 5:30 pm.

Dancing with Andy

We are dancing on Tuesdays and Thursdays in February and March. Let me know you are coming. Invite others.

For the next four weeks, we will be doing West Coast Swing on Tuesday nights at 7 pm to get ready for Chad's party on Saturday, March 19. At 8 pm, we will do some complimentary dances that Chad may play. This week we will do some Nightclub Two-Step, Rumba, Cha-Cha, and Waltz

The Beginner Series for Swing, Waltz, and Argentine Tango 3 of 4 next meets Thursday February 24 is suitable both for new dancers and those with experience. Experienced dancers have the opportunity to improve their basics. Everyone has lots of practice time. Best time to start is with other beginners. Couples friendly, you can stay with your partner. Singles friendly, no partner needed.

Private lessons are avaialable.

All dancing at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 23 Blvd, around the left side, 1/2 mile east of Fresh Market.

These are classes with a lot of practice time. There is about 15 minutes of instruction spread over each hour, so you get in about 10 to 15 dances of practice. We rotate partners. Rotating is not required. Dancing is for all levels. No partner needed.

Let me know what dances you would like to do. Richard suggested these dances: waltz, foxtrot, East Coast swing, chacha, rumba, hustle, and nightclub two step. If you want to spend some time on one dance, let me know that you want to do a series. Spending a few months on one dance takes you to a new level.

Mondays Israeli Dancing with Andy
7:00 pm Israeli Circle Dancing
8:00 pm Israeli Partner Dancing
$10 per family, free for those that come on Tuesdays or Thursdays

If you are inclined to dance on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, the third night the same week is free.

As always, if financial considerations are keeping you from dancing, you can just pay $5, or pay whatever you like, or come for free.

Vaccinations required, masks optional, to dance at B'nai Israel. If you cannot get vaccinated for some reason, let me know.
