Hustle!, West Coast Swing, and Argentine Tango on Thursdays in February with Andy. Come out tonight, Thursday, February 2 for Hustle! and West Coast Swing, and also Argentine Tango by request. Learn to dance as light as a feather, gently, without the use of force, without pushing and pulling. Hustle! is similar to single-time swing. Lindy-style swing is typically done to big band music. West Coast swing is typically done to R&B and slow country music. You can think of Hustel as a swing dance done to disco music. Women leading and men following is common in Hustle! If you like to spin, Hustle! is for you.

Beginner Swing Series Week 2 of 4 with Andy is Tuesday, February 7 at 7 pm. $60 for 4-week series per person for new dancers. $10 per night for those with experience.

Mondays and Wednesdays take Lindy Hop Swing Dancing Lessons at the Reitz Union at 7:30 pm.

Tuesdays and Thursdays join Club Ballroom with K Smooth at Rosa B Williams Center at 7 pm.

Wednesdays join the UF Argentine Tango Class with Trista and Alper at the Reitz Union at 5:15 pm.

Dancing with Andy

You learn to dance as light as a feather. These are the gentlest and safest dance sessions. You learn to dance using your body to lead and follow. There is no use of force, meaning no pushing and pulling, no tension and pressure. You learn the language of dancing with a partner so you can communicate unambiguously. You learn the simple rules and signals to communicate every step in every dance in the same way with every person.

Let me know if you are coming. Not required. You can drop in. Invite others.

At the moment, these are small groups where you get personal attention. Take advantage of this time to get better. Group sizes vary.

All dancing at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 23 Blvd, around the left side, 1/2 mile east of Fresh Market.

If you are inclined to dance on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, pay for two nights and the third night the same week is free.
