Come out on Tuesday, April 4 for the Beginner Swing Series With Andy 1 of 4. Afterwards on Tuesday, dance Hustle! and West Coast Swing, and Argentine Tango by request at 6 or 9 pm. We are not dancing on Thursdays on April 6 and 13 due to Passover. Come out on Tuesday instead.

On Friday and Saturday March 31 and April 1, come out for Contra Dance Weekend with Diane Silver and Party of Three in Melrose on Friday from 7 to 10 pm and Saturday from 12 to 3 pm at Dancing Fish, 24800 State Road 26, Melrose. Vaccination required.

On Friday March 31, come out for Baila Caliente March Social in Ocala from 8 pm to 1 am at One Health Center 1714 SW 17th Street, Ocala, 34471. Baila Caliente, 352-871-7244.

On Saturday April 1, come out for Gator Salsa Club Extravaganza Meets Hollywood with workshops at UF in Kizomba, Salsa, Zook, Swing, Bachata from 12:30 to 4:30 pm and evening dance social from 9 pm to 1:30 am at the Senior Recreation Center, 5701 NW 34 Blvd, Gainesville. Gator Salsa Club.

On Friday April 7, come out for Argentine Tango Thuy's Milonga from 7 pm to 12 am at Rena's Ballroom, 720 NW 23 Avenue, Gainesville. David Chayes, 786-524-8259, $20, $10 students.

Mondays and Tuesdays take Bachata and Salsa with Salsa Mundial.

Mondays and Wednesdays take Baila Caliente Salsa Dance Lessons at Gainesville’s 5 Star Comedy & Jazz Event Center, 534 N. Main Street at 6 pm. Baila Caliente is in Ocala on Wednesdays.

Mondays and Wednesdays take Lindy Hop Swing Dancing Lessons at the Reitz Union at 7:30 pm.

Tuesdays and Thursdays join Club Ballroom with K Smooth at Rosa B Williams Center at 7 pm.

Wednesdays join the UF Argentine Tango Class with Trista and Alper at the Reitz Union at 5:15 pm.

Dancing with Andy

You learn to dance as light as a feather. These are the gentlest and safest dance sessions. You learn to lead and follow using your body. There is no use of force, meaning no pushing and pulling, no tension and pressure. You learn the language of dancing with a partner so you can communicate unambiguously. You learn the simple rules and signals to communicate every step in every dance in the same way with every person.

Let me know if you are coming. Not required. You can drop in. Invite others.

The sessions format is some instruction with mostly dancing.

All dancing at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 23 Blvd, around the left side, 1/2 mile east of Fresh Market.

If you are inclined to dance on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, pay for two nights and the third night the same week is free.

If financial considerations keep you from dancing, make arrangements with me to pay what you can afford.
