First my programs, then news about dancing in the area.
Dancing with Andy
Join us this Monday June 24 for Israeli Dancing for Karen Cohen's good bye party. She will be leaving us for a year.
Super Simple Swing 101 for novice dancers will start after Labor Day.
Looking at a number of other classes as well for Santa Fe College Community Education. Let me know if you would like to take any of the following or you have other requests. These would be sessions for people of all levels as long as you have some dance experience. They will be 90 minute sessions with lots of dance practice time.
- Super Simple Swing 102 (all swing dancing)
- Beginning and Experienced West Coast Swing
- Beginning and Experienced Lindy Swing (can join UF Swing Club)
- Beginning and Experienced Hustle
- Beginning Argentine Tango
- Beginning Vintage Waltz for the Waltz Brunches and Contra Dances
Beginning Israeli Dancing - If you are having a quiet summer dancing, join us on Mondays for Israeli Circle and Partner Dances, no experience and no partner needed, at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd. Starting July 1 and continuing through the rest of 2013, we will be teaching dances from 7 to 8 pm, followed by dancing from 8 to 9:30 or 10. The music is great and the dancing is really fun, a fantastic way to improve your footwork, expand your physical skills and enjoy moving around the floor. Cost is $8 per person per session if paid by the month, $10 for drop-ins. $3 extra for spouses. Kids free with adults. If you are a full time student or have financial difficulties, you can pay what you can afford, $5, $3 or come for free.
Israeli Dancing Groupon - for July, August and September, 14 weeks of dancing for just $70 per person, provided we get 7 takers
. That works out to only $5 per evening. Call, email or show up July 1 to participate.
Dancing in the Area
Swing and Sway has an evening dance tonight, Friday, at the Senior Center.
UF Swing Club is not in session tonight. They meet every other week during the summer.
Ray and Eileen host a Ballroom Dance Party on Saturday night.
