Sign up now for Super Simple Swing 102
. This is the follow up session to Swing 101. Good for any beginning dancer, even if you missed Swing 101. Covers similar material in a different format. You can take both Swing 101 and Swing 102 at the same time. They will reinforce one another. From 6 to 7 pm.
Sign up now for All Levels Swing Dancing. This is good for anyone with some swing dance experience. If you have only done Swing 101, you are welcome to join this session if you do not mind being lost after the first 15 minutes. From 7:10 to 8:30 pm.
Both sessions start Thursday, October 31 and run for 6 weeks, at Gainesville High School. Sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education.

Tonight, Friday, October 25, Swing 101
week 2 of 6 is at Gainesville Health and Fitness Center from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. After class, I will play four songs so you can practice. Myself and the guest instructors will be happy to dance with you either as a lead or follow. You should try to dance all four songs. This is your chance to actually learn how to dance. Class gives you information, but you need to attempt to do it, to give yourself an opportunity to acquire the skill. During this practice time, just dance. Avoid discussing what you are doing with your partner. Just try to figure things out for yourself and get through the dance. Have fun, without worrying whether you are doing it right or not.
UF Argentine Tango Club has their big weekend of the year,
Tango for the Cure
, with dances and workshops Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon. Support a worthy cause and have a good time. Even if you do not dance tango, drop by Saturday night at the Reitz Union ballroom and treat yourself to watching this exotic dance.

Also Saturday, Josh hosts his yearly big event, West Coast Swing Halloween Autism Fundraiser with Demery Strickland. This is in place of November's first Saturday of the month dance, so swing dancers, make sure you get out to support this important cause and get in your dancing for the month. If you are not ready to dance swing, stop by to see the wonderful dancing.
