Busy Month, Beginning West Coast Swing, Beginning Tango, Beginning Square Dancing

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

There is quite a lot going on, so check the calendar. www.DanceCalendar.info/u/event.asp?idarea=19 Will try to highlight my programs, plus anything out of the ordinary.

Andy's Programs

  1. Beginning Argentine Tango - meets Friday, April 11, 6 pm at the Tigert House, 224 NE 10 Ave, $10, please RSVP so I can make sure their is a gender balance, newcomers welcome, no partner needed
  2. Begining West Coast Swing - starts Thursday, April 10, 7:10 pm to 8:10 pm, followed by practice, at GHS, sign up via SFC Community Ed
  3. Begining Western Style Square Dancing - starts Thursday, April 10, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at GHS, sign up via SFC Community Ed
  4. Israeli Dancing - meets Mondays, 7 pm at B'nai Israel, $5
  5. Line Dancing at the Senior Center on Thursdays at noon and in Hawthorne on Tuesdays at 6 pm, sign up via SFC Community Ed

This Weekend

Friday is a dance social in Ocala and UF Swing Club meets in Gainesville.

Saturday is Josh's first of the month WCS Dance with guests Stephen White and Sonya Dessureault. The UF Argentine Tango Club has a Milonga at the Hippodrome, and of course, the Gator game.

Sunday Andrea has her first milonga at the Movement with a class at 7pm. Also Sunday is the monthly Contra Dance with an after party at the Tigert House. Salsa Caliente was bought by Ritmo Y Sabor Salsa and they have classes on Sundays, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays, at the UTC.

During the Week

Lots of other dancing going on. Check the calendar for Ballroom and folk dancing. Also, the Tigert House is hosting a variety of mostly free programs this month, their last month, with two and three sessions a week of Contra, Irish Set, Scottish, Vintage Waltz and after Contra parties.
