Red Cross Dancing thru the Decades Swing Dance - Saturday, April 26

Support the Red Cross and have a great time doing it.

The American Red Cross North Central Florida Chapter invites you to attend Dancin’ thru the Decades, a lavish 1940’s inspired and USO-themed event to be held at the WWII Hangar at University Air Center at the Gainesville Regional Airport.

Byron Terwilliger, voted Best Chef by readers of HOME Magazine, and his team at Blue Water Bay will provide the sumptuous catering and swing and dance music will be provided by The Dancing Melodies.

In addition there will be an exciting live auction, presided by Ben Campen and an extensive silent auction. Auction items include a round-trip private flight to Key West courtesy of University Air Center, vacation accommodations and much more.

Tickets are $75 per person and may be purchased from me (376-0715) or by calling the Red Cross office at (352) 376-4669. You may also stop by the Red Cross office at 1425 NW 6th Street or purchase tickets through one of our Chapter’s Board or Event Committee members.

The attire is creative cocktail and costumes are both welcome and optional. The Red Cross will host a dance contest and 1940s costume contest where winners will be awarded prizes.

The American Red Cross has a 4 star rating for accountability and transparency with Charity Navigator. Nearly 91 cents of every dollar raised are spent on its mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

I hope you will join us. The Red Cross UF Interns can deliver you your tickets if you choose.

Sincerely, Sally J. Lawrence, Ph.D.
