West Coast Swing Workshop with Danielle Blouin, Argentine Tango Papirusa, Contra Dance

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

All kinds of dancing going on this week and month, so take note.

This Weekend

Danielle Blouin will be at Josh's West Coast Swing Dance on Saturday night. She will teach a class at 7:30 pm at the Movement, 1212 N Main Street. Take advantage of this opportunity.

The afternoon monthly Contra Dance at the Boltin Center is this Sunday at 4 pm. Always a fun party.

Sunday evening, welcome Andrea back at her Argentine Tango Milonga Papirusa at 8 pm at the Movement. Free to stop by and watch.

During the Week

Andrea will be starting up her beginning classes in Argentine Tango. Contact her to join the group. pham.andrea@gmail.com

6-Count Latin Hustle with Bob Rogers on Tuesdays and East Coast Swing on Thursdays. Samba with Ray and Eileen on Thursdays in addition to their general Ballroom on Tuesdays.

Next Friday, Diana Kanoy hosts Dances of Universal Peace with Taj Loreto at the United Church of Gainesville at 7 pm. Cool.

Dancing with Andy

Israeli Dancing on Mondays at 7pm at B'nai Israel. $5

Line Dancing on Thursdays at noon at the Senior Center. The next 4 week series starts this Thursday. Sign up via SFC. See link below.

At the end of August, four sessions start via SFC Community Ed for Fall A:

  1. Beginning Argentine Tango
  2. Beginning West Coast Swing
  3. Beginning Israeli Dancing
  4. Beginning and Intermediate Line Dancing in Hawthorne

The beginning classes are suitable for people who have never danced before and for people who have taken beginning classes, but are still beginners and need reinforcement. Each time, we do the series differently, so you will continue to learn new things, while you get better at what you have already learned.

Experienced dancers are welcome to join these classes for free to help out and have some fun.

Private lessons available at reasonable rates. $20 per hour for 1, $30 for 2, $40 for 3 or 4. Availability Monday through Friday during the day, and possibly other times.
