Live Music Concert at Argentine Tango Milonga, Swingtastics, Dancing at Macy's and in Melrose

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Two more weeks of beginning Salsa at 6 pm and Hustle at 7:10 pm at Gainesville High School. We may be able to extend these programs into December. You can still join us. Sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education (SFC), 352-395-5193 or www.sfcollege.edu/cied/communityed

Some unusual programs this weekend. Saturday night the Maldito Tango Duo from San Francisco will play live music at the Argentine Tango Milonga El Abrazo at the Movement, 1212 N Main Street. Dancing starts at 8 pm. Two live music sets, one at 9 pm and one at 11 pm. Worth attending to listen to the music, even if you do not dance tango. $20, $10 students

65 Nickels plays dance music at the MACC, in Melrose on Saturday night, and Ray and Eileen have their Ballroom Dance.

Sunday evening Nick and the Swingtastics play at Loosey's at 7 pm. $7

Macy's is holding an afternoon Dancing with the Local Stars Black Tie and Red Dress event, for free. This is supposed to be an exclusvie event for Macy's premier customers, but they want to have dancers there to liven up the program, so they have invited the dance community as well.

Sunday evening Josh Hartley plays a musical concert in Melrose at the Culture Center.

My tango teacher, Andrea Pham, is holding an Argentine Tango Workshop Weekend, November 21 to 23, attend all or part. There will be a variety of different workshops. pham.andrea@gmail.com
