Two Dances this Weekend, West Coast Swing with Danielle Blouin, Contra Dance, Ladies One-and-a-Half Turn

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Monday semi-private Swing Dancing starts a new series for July, investigating the ladies turn-and-a-half. Contact me if you would like to join us.

Saturday night there is a West Coast Swing Dance with Danielle Blouin Oates at the Movement at 7:30 pm. Danielle is a renowned professional from the Tampa Bay area. She has a large following, so expect more than the usual out-of-towners. Come out to learn something new and have a good time. $15

Sunday is the monthly afternoon Contra Dance at the Boltin Center at 4 pm. There is a lesson at 3:30 pm. Country style waltzing at 2:30. All of this is easy enough for beginners, since all you have to do is follow directions like circle left and go forward and back. Newcomers are welcome and will be able to dance the first day.

  1. Israeli Dancing at 7:15 pm, Israeli Partner Dancing at 8:15 pm, on Mondays at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, only $5, drop in, no sign up required, ongoing.
  2. Line Dancing on Thursdays at noon at the Senior Center, sign up via SFC, ongoing. None currently running during the summer. Next series probably will start in the fall of 2015
  3. Semi-private Swing on Mondays at 6 pm, at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, $15 per person, includes Israeli Dancing and 8:30 pm session if there is one, let me know you are coming
  4. Semi-private Argentine Tango or Salsa on Mondays at 8:30 pm, at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, $10 per person, includes Israeli Dancing, let me know you are coming
