Hustle and Salsa Start Thursday Register Now, Baila Caliente Social, Tango Milonga, Contra, Dances of Universal Peace

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

So much dancing, check the Gainesville dance calendar.

If you would like to join any of my sessions, but you have financial difficulties, contact me to discuss arrangements.

If you have just finished the Tango or Swing series and would like to continue, join one of the sessions below or contact me. Taking a class in another dance will help you. All the sessions use the same fundamental principles for dancing with a partner.

Register Now for Dance Classes Starting Next Week

- Beginning Salsa Dancing with Andy on Thursday nights from 6 to 7 pm, 4 weeks, $39, sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education, starting October 29 at Gainesville High School

- Beginning Hustle with Andy on Thursday nights from 7:10 to 8:10 pm, 4 weeks, $39, sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education, starting October 29 at Gainesville High School

- Line Dancing at the Senior Center with Andy on Thursdays from noon to 1 pm, 3 weeks, $24, sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education, starting October 29 at Gainesville High School

Of all the social dances, Hustle is the one that is the most pure fun. The turns in Salsa come from Hustle. The music is dance music, the kind that DJs remix. The music is not for listening to. The music makes you get up to dance. Some Hustle social dancing:

Contact me to join our Beginning and Experienced West Coast Swing on Monday nights from 6 to 7:15 pm, semi-private, $15 per night.

If you would like to join a dance session on Mondays from 5 to 6 pm or from 8:30 to 9:30 pm, possibly in Argentine Tango, Lindyish Swing or something else let me know.

Other dance classes offered via Santa Fe College Community Education are: Bachata 101, Basic Ballroom I for Couples, Belly Dancing for Everyone, Brazilian Samba and Forro, Nightclub Dancing for Couples, Salsa 101 on Mondays at 9 pm and Vertical Arabesque.

Weekend Dancing

Friday night the UF Swing Club meets at 8 pm at the Unified Training Center, free.

Saturday afternoon Dances of Universal Peace are out near Ft. McCoy. There is a Contra Dance in Melrose. Argentine Tango Milonga Papirusa meets in the front room at the UTC with a lesson at 8 pm, $10. There is a Ballroom Dance at By Ear Musician. Baila Caliente's Black and White Social is at 9 pm at the UTC.

Sunday you can West Coast Swing in Ocala.

Argentine Tango

You can also take Argentine Tango classes all on Wednesday nights from Andrea Pham (pham.andrea@gmail.com), David Chayes (david.chayes@gmail.com) and UF Tango Club at Corry Village.

Swing

You can also take Texas Swing on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Robert Whitehead, West Coast Swing on Wednesdays at the Movement and Lindy Swing on Fridays with UF Swing Club.

Salsa and Latin

You can also take Salsa and Latin dancing on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays with Baila Caliente and Tuesdays and Thursdays with Salsa Mundial.
