Dancing in December, Winter Formal, Sabrina Paxmann-Stewart Workshop

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

The UF Swing Club Winter Formal is Friday night at the Unified Training Center. Only $5.

Saturday night Josh is bringing Sabrina Paxmann-Stewart to the monthly West Coast Swing Dance at the Movement. Sabrina will be teaching a class before the dance. As long as you have some swing dance experience, you should be able to follow along. The class starts a little after 7:30 pm. Dancing will go past midnight. Free to watch.

The monthly afternoon Contra Dance is this Sunday at the Boltin Center at 4 pm, with Waltzing at 2:45 pm. No experience and no partner needed.

Dancing in December with Andy

For the next two Mondays we will be covering whip turns in our West Coast Swing series from 6 to 7:15 pm. Beginners meet early at 5:30. This Thursday night December 10 we meet for Salsa and Hustle from 5:30 or 6 to 7 pm for Salsa and 7 to 8 pm or so for Hustle. Contact me if you would like to join us. Cost is $15 per night.

Starting January 21, we will have two 6-week series via SFC Community Education, with Salsa from 6 to 7 pm and Lindy-style Swing from 7 to 8 pm. For newcomers, this is a chance to start with other newcomers. For those with some experience, this will be a chance to review, improve and have some fun.

In between, the schedule is tentative. If you would like to dance from mid-December to mid-January let me know. You can also let me know any requests you have as to what you would like to focus on.
