Weekend of Tango, West Coast Swing in Ocala, Contra in Melrose, Rena's Ballroom Now Open, Do Not Coach Others

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Rena's Ballroom is now open. The new dance studio is on NW 23 Avenue west of Ward's. You can check the space out Friday night with the UF Argentine Tango Club Fall Milonga, and again on Saturday night with Ray and Eileen's Ballroom Dance.

Alternatively on Friday night, take in the Contra Dance in Melrose. Saturday night come out for more Argentine Tango Milonga El Abrazo at the Movement.

On Sunday, dance West Coast Swing in Ocala.

Dancing in December with Andy

As the year quiets down, if you want to keep dancing, let me know. We are planning our schedule for the rest of December with possibly Monday night West Coast Swing and Thursday or Wednesday night Salsa and Hustle.

This Monday December 14 we will review the whip turn in West Coast Swing from 6 to 7:15 pm. This is the last of our current series. From 5:30 to 6 pm we have a new beginners class, come early for this. Those with experience are welcome to attend for review. Cost is $15 per night.

Next Santa Fe College Community Education starts January 21 with two 6-week series: 6 to 7 pm Salsa and 7 to 8 pm Lindy-style Swing. Registration opens January 7. Both of these are designed for newcomers, so you have a chance to start with other newcomers. Those with some experience have a chance to review.
