Last Minute Two for One Salsa and Swing Starts Thursday, Ballroom Pros in Ocala, Tango Milonga

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Beginning Salsa and Swing starts this Thursday via Santa Fe College Community Education. These classes are designed for new and beginning level dancers to have fun, gain experience and build confidence in a non-judgmental atmosphere. If you have never danced before these classes are perfect for you. If you have some experience, but do not feel totally comfortable yet at dances these sessions give you the practice time you need. Since we still have room, register for either one and come to the other as my guest, no charge. Register now via Santa Fe College Community Education at www.sfcollege.edu/cied/communityed.

Monday evenings we are doing a 6-week series in West Coast Swing Whip Turns. You missed the first week, but you can still join us for the rest. We will also be covering tuck turns. Note that we do not dance patterns. The patterns serve as teaching tools. What you learn are the skills to dance with a partner. By covering a specific subject for an extended period you have the opportunity to explore the subject in depth. Beginners in West Coast Swing meet early, around 5:30 on Mondays. Saturday night in Gainesville is a Ballroom Dance at Rena's and an Argentine Tango Milonga Papirusa at Hip Moves right next door. Get there early to park. You might even be able to sneak back and forth between the two.

Christian Sola and Alejandra Fontao Ballroom Dance Professionals will be in Ocala at C4 Academy on Saturday teaching workshops, private lessons and performing at the dance social that evening. Charles Cook, 888-608-4624
