Enlightenment, Beginners Milonga, Balboa Workshop, Macy's Dance

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Dancing with Andy

Thursday June 2 Week 4 of 6
- 6 pm Beginning Argentine Tango
- 7 pm Beginning West Coast Swing

No dancing on Monday June 13 due to the Jewish holiday of Shavuot. Dancing resumes Monday June 20 Week 4 of 5
- 5:30 pm West Coast Swing
- 6:15 pm Beginning Rumba and including in WCS
- 7:15 pm Israeli Dancing
The Monday schedule varies based on your requests.

At B’nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, in the Community Room around the right side in the back.

Cost per Person:

$15 per night

Other Dancing

Friday there is a Contra Dance in Melrose.

Saturday the UF Swing Club has a Balboa Workshop and Downtown Dance. There is an Argentine Tango Beginners Milonga with Steve followed by regular dancing at the Movement at 8 pm. Ray and Eileen have a Ballroom Dance at Rena's Ballroom.

Sunday LaQianya is organizing a free dance at Macy's in the Oaks Mall from 4 to 8 pm with Miss Florida. Stop by for a fun time.

Dance Enlightenment

The Buddha set out to end suffering. Suffering comes from craving, that is wanting things to be different than they are. To end suffering, what you need to do is experience the world as it is. While this is difficult to do, the Buddha developed techniques to do just that and when he achieved the result, he became the Englightened One. Become an enlightened dancer. Accept you and your partner for what you both are at that moment, and enjoy the experience.
