West Coast Swing Dance with Professionals, New Dance Series Starting, Beginner Argentine Tango Milonga

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

This Saturday May 7 Josh is holding a West Coast Swing with Professional Dancers Stephen and Sonya White at the Movement at 7:30 pm. Lesson goes from around 7:45 to 8:45 with dacning until 11:30 pm. Come on out for a fun evening. Cost is $15.

I have arranged with Steve Littler to hold a Beginner Argentine Tango Milonga at the first part of his dance next Saturday night May 14 at the Movement. He will have a beginner lesson at 8 pm followed by a beginner milonga until 9:30 pm. The beginner milonga is a dance structured to accomodate beginners. Steve will explain it to you when you are there. If you have taken a few clases in Argentine Tango and can walk around a little bit with a partner, you are good to go for the beginner milonga. After 9:30 you are welcome to stay and dance with the regulars.

This Monday May 9 is week 5 of 6 of West Coast Swing Whip Turn Exploration at 6:00 pm at B'nai Israel, preceded by Salsa at 5:30 pm.

This Thursday May 12 is week 6 of 6 our last session of Introduction to Argentine Tango at 6:00 pm at Gainesville High School. We will hold our graduation dance for Tango at Steve's Beginners Argentine Tango Milonga mentioned above. This is also our last Beginning West Coast Swing at 7:10 pm. We will hold our graduation dance by staying until 8:30 pm. See the following for options for continuing.

May 19 we will start a new series on Thursday nights and May 23 we will start a new series on Monday nights. Some of the dances we are looking at scheduling are Argentine Tango, Hustle, Lindy Swing, Salsa and West Coast Swing. Let me know if you would like to join us and what dances you would like to do, some of these or others. The cost will be something like $15 for a night, $75 for six nights (one night free), or $105 for all 12 classes (4 nights free).
