Lots of Dance News, Beginners Tango Milonga, New Series Starting on Mondays and Thursdays

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Friday night there is a Contra Dance in Melrose.

Also Friday, Suzanne is holding a West Coast Swing dance party in her house. Contact me for details.

Saturday is the monthly Argentine Tango Milonga El Abrazo at the Movement. I have arranged with Steve to hold a special Beginners Milonga from 8 to 9:30 pm. If you have taken at least one class in Argentine Tango, come on out and enjoy a dance social specifically arranged to make beginning tango dancers feel comfortable. There will be a lesson and structured dancing for beginners. Afterwards, the regular milonga will start at 9:30. Experienced dancers are welcome to come early and beginning dancers are welcome to stay late. $10

Dancing with Andy

This Monday May 16 is week 6 of 6 of West Coast Swing Whip Turn Exploration at 6:00 pm at B'nai Israel, preceded by Salsa at 5:30 pm. Let me know if you would like to join us.

Thursday May 19 we will continue both Beginning Argentine Tango at 6 pm and Beginning West Coast Swing at 7 pm at our new location Congregation B'nai Israel. This will be a 6 week series. If you would like to learn these dances contact me to join us.

Monday May 23 we will start a new 5 week series Becoming a West Coast Swing Advanced Dancer from 6 to 7:15 pm. This will focus on improving the quality of what you are doing to take your dancing to the next level. From 5:30 to 6 pm we will do Salsa. We may also do a night or two on a number of other dances, so that you can do them at the dance socials: Ballroom Waltz, Cha Cha, Country Two Step, Country Waltz, Hustle, Lindy Swing, Merengue, Nightclub Two Step, Rumba. At Congregation B'nai Israel.

The cost will be:

$60 for the five Mondays (one night free), or
$75 for six nights (one night free) and you can use your six nights on either Mondays or Thursdays
$105 for all eleven nights (four nights free)
$15 per night
