New Dancing on Friday Nights, Night of Dance, Labor Day River City Swing West Coast

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Good news, two new dance sessions on Friday nights to keep you busy. Swing Dancing with LaQianya at 7:30 at S-Connection, 250 SE 10 Avenue. Ballroom Dancing with Jacqueline Valdez four week series starting August 12, at 7:30 at the YMCA, 5201 NW 34 Blvd, 352-374-9622.

Tomorrow Saturday night is an Argentine Milonga El Abrazo with Beginners Milonga with Steve at the Movement at 8 pm, $10. Ray and Eileen hold their regular Ballroom Dance at Rena's at 8 pm, $10.

Next Saturday night August 20 UF HealthStreet Hosts a Night of Dance at Bo Diddley Plaza from 5 to 8 pm. This free event features local dance groups. If you want your dance group to participate, teach, demonstrate, hand out flyers, get a table to promote your group or something else, contact Alana Jackson, ajackson21@ufl.edu, 352-294-4880.

River City Swing (www.rivercityswing.com) West Coast Swing weekend of workshops and dancing is Labor Day weekend in Jacksonville. Contact Josh Angel, joshuadancer79@gmail.com, soon to join the Gainesville table.

Monday August 15 and Monday August 22 Hustle and Lindy from 5:30 to 7:15 pm at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd. $15

Thursday August 18 Argentine Tango and West Coast Swing from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd. $15

We will be taking a three week break and return to dancing on Thursday September 15.

We will be dancing Hustle and Lindy on Monday nights starting again on September 19 from 5:30 to 7:15 pm.
