Contra and Tango Tonight and Saturday, Waltz and Swing and Sway Sunday, Nia 101

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Register now for Santa Fe College Community Education Classes starting in November by calling 352-395-5193 or visit www.sfcollege.edu/cied/communityed. There are a variety of dances offered. I will be running Line Dancing at the Senior Center on Thursdays at noon, cost $34 for 4 weeks. Also, Argentine Tango on Thursdays at 6 pm and Introduction to Social Dancing at 7 pm, in which you will learn dances basics of social dances like Cha Cha, Merengue, Rumba and Waltz, just enough so you can do them on social occasions. Each cost $54 for 5 weeks.

Tonight Friday, is the last night for Argentine Tango with Gerardo and Nico at Flow Space, 117 NW 16 Ave. Beginners at 7 pm from 7 to 10 pm. 7 pm Beginners. 8 pm Intermediate. 9 pm Practica. $10 for one class, $15 for two classes. $10 just for the practica. Practica included with the class.

Also tonight is the Contra Dance in Melrose at 7:30. $8

Saturday night is the monthly evening Contra Dance at the Boltin Center at 7 pm, with Waltzing at 5:45. $10

Also Saturday is an Argentine Tango at Thuy's at 7:30. Free

Sunday is the monthly Vintage Waltz Brunch at 10:30 am and the Swing and Sway Afternoon Dance at 3 pm, each $10, both at Rena's Ballroom.

Also Sunday is Nia 101: Basics Playshop with Sarit Sela at Stillpoint Therapy. Nia is a dance form combining movements from Martial Arts to Yoga.

Dancing with Andy

We are not dancing this nor next Monday October 17 nor October 24 due to the Jewish holidays. On October 31 we will start a new 5 week series in Hustle and Swing from 5:30 to 7:15 pm at B'nai Israel.

We are dancing this Thursday October 20 Argentine Tango and Swing from 6 to 8 pm at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd. This is the last week in our current series.

Thursday October 27 we will start a new 6 week series in Argentine Tango at 6 pm and Social Dancing at 7 pm.

Let me know if you want to join us. These series skip Thanksgiving day.
Cost per night per person, which includes both dances, is
$15 drop in, or
$75 (1 night free) for six week series on either Mondays or Thursdays, or
$120 (4 nights free) for six week series on both Mondays and Thursdays
