Contra Dance, No West Coast Saturday Night

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

The first time we took my sister water skiing, she fell more than a dozen times before getting going. My dad took movies. They are funny. She did not give up. Eventually she stayed up. Lots of things are like that, including dancing with a partner.

Josh is NOT having his West Coast Swing Dance this Saturday, because he will be out of town.

This Friday night, if you go downtown for the Art Walk, the International Folk Dancers are performing somewhere from 7:30 to 8:30. Free

This Saturday night the ladies from my Israeli Dance group are performing one dance at 8:30 at Omi's Tavern in the Sun Center downtown. This is part of a World Dance Collective that starts at 8 pm. Free

Also Saturday night, I believe Baila Caliente has their Salsa Social at Studio C, 1925 NW 2 Street from 10 pm to 3 am, but they have not posted this yet.

Sunday, July 2 is the monthly afternoon Contra Dance at the Boltin Center, 516 NE 2 Avenue from 4 to 7 pm, with Country Waltzing at 2:45. $10

Sunday there is also West Coast Swing in Ocala and the UF Tango Club meets at the Reitz Union. See www.GainesvilleDance.com calendar.

Ray and Eileen are teaching Bolero on Thursdays in July at Rena's Ballroom.
