Dance Practice Tonight, Tuesday Swing, Salsa, Tango, Dancing this Weekend

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Come out tonight for casual social dance practice from 6:30 to 8:30. You will have two hours to just dance. The music will be a mix suitable for the dances we have learned in class, Argentine Tango, Hustle, Lindy, Rumba, Salsa, Waltz and West Coast Swing. This is an informal dance practice, not a social, nor a lesson. Generally there will be three songs in a row of the same kind of music. You can dance to the music anyway you want. If someone wants a short lesson, I will be available from 6:30 to 7 pm.

$15 per couple (pair with anyone you want), or

Saturday night is the monthly evening Contra Dance at the Boltin Center from 7 to 10 pm, with Waltzing at 5:45. If you are a new dancer, this is something good for you to go to. They will give you a lesson a half hour before the dance. $10

Also Saturday, the UF Swing Club is Dancing Under the Stars at Depot Part from 6 to 9 pm, with a lesson at 6 pm, dancing at 7 pm. $15 for two for lesson and dance. Otherwise $5 for lesson, $5 for dance.

Sunday is the monthly Vintage Waltz at Rena's Ballroom from 2 to 5 pm. This is also good for new dancers. $10, $5 students

We start a half hour later than usual this week, due to another program at the synagogue.

$15 for 1 night, or
$10 if you are taking Andrea's class,

For all levels. No partner. Rotating is not required.

Monday Israeli Dancing with Andy at 7:30 pm, $5, free for students, free if you come on Tuesdays.

Heads up, in January we will be starting a one-year program for you to learn Israeli Dancing. This will start at the beginning, progressing, so that after the year, you will be comfortable as an Israeli dancer.
