Casual Dance Practice Tonight, Tango Friday, UF Swing Formal, Contra

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Much dancing takes breaks in December, so get in whatever you can, while you can.

Tonight come out for Casual Social Dance Practice with Andy from 6:30 to 8:30 or so at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, around the left side. There will be a variety of music suitable for Lindy, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Waltz, Rumba, Argentine Tango and more, mostly in sets of three. This is informal. You can dance anyway you want to whatever music you like. No lesson, just dancing. I will be available for assistance by request. $8 for one person or $15 for two people.

Next Thursday, we will do the same thing, with a little party atmosphere. Casual Social Dance Practice Party with Andy on Thursday December 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 or whenever.

Friday night come out for Argentine Tango at Rosa B. Williams, 524 NW 1 Street, from 8 to 11 pm. $10, free to watch

Also Friday night is late night Latin Dancing from 10:30 pm to 1 am, at the Gold Room Nightclub, 11 SW 1 Street, with no cover before 11 pm.

Saturday night is the UF Swing Club Winter Formal at the Reitz Union from 8 pm to midnight. $5

Sunday is the monthly afternoon Contra Dance at the Boltin Center at 4 pm, with a lesson at 3:30 and Waltzing at 2:45. $10

Monday Israeli Dancing with Andy at 7:30 pm, $5, free for students, free if you come on Tuesdays.

In January we will start a one-year beginner Israeli Dancing program.
