Salsa, Swing and Tango Tonight, Ballroom Waltz, Tango, Swing and Contra Dances this Weekend

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Salsa, Swing and Tango with Andy week 2 of 4 tonight February 1. No dancing next week on February 8. All levels welcome. Instruction and dancing for both newcomers and experienced dancers. Last week we did Waltz and Rumba instead of Salsa and Swing. We will adjust to who is there and may do something other than Salsa and Swing if there are no objections. The intent for Thursday nights is for you to have fun as you become a versatile social dancer.

Thursday February 2, Week 2 of 4 (no dancing next week February 8)
6:00 pm Salsa or other
7:00 pm Swing or other
8:00 pm Argentine Tango
$40 for remaining 3 weeks, or
$15 drop-in, or
$10 for those taking Andrea's class, or
$5 student, or
$5 Tango practice only (no instruction)
At B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, around the left side

Israeli Dancing Beginner Series with Andy week 2 of 4 continues this Monday February 2 at 7 pm followed by regular session. This is planned as a one-year program via scheduled series. There are 3 weeks left in the current series. Cost is $25 for 3 weeks or $10 per night per family. At B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, around the left side.

Dancing Around Town

Ray and Eileen teach Ballroom Waltz this month on Thursday nights, including tonight, at Rena's Ballroom from 7:30 to 8:45 pm.

Argentine Tango Papirusa with Andrea, my teacher, on Friday night, with a lesson at 8 pm, at Rosa B. Williams Recreation Center, $10. Next Saturday professional Tango instructors Jon and Judy will be holding workshops and giving private lessons. Contact Steve at sl@stevelittler.com.

UF Swing Club is dancing at the Boltin Center on Friday night, with a lesson at 8 pm. Free

Josh is not having his monthly West Coast Swing dance this month. If you want to dance this Saturday night see the Weekend Westies Facebook group.

The monthly afternoon Contra Dance at the Boltin Center is Sunday at 4 pm, with a lesson at 3:30 and Waltzing at 2:45. $10
