Tons of Dancing this Weekend, New Dance Series Starting

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

First, I have number of dance series starting up for beginners. Experienced dancers should come out too. There is plenty of dance time and new information for experienced dancers. Let me know if you will join us.

New Series with Andy

  1. Swing, Salsa and Argentine Tango - 4 week series for beginners, 6 week series for experienced dancers. Starts this coming Thursday April 19 at 6, 7 and 8 pm at B'nai Israel.
  2. Israeli Dancing Introduction - 3 week series for beginners. Starts this coming Monday April 16 at 7 pm at B'nai Israel.
  3. Line Dancing at the Senior Center - 4 week series. Starts this Thursday April 19 at noon at the Senior Center. Sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education.
  4. Social Dancing at the Senior Center - 3 week series. Starts Tuesday April 24 at noon at the Senior Center. Sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education.

Some Dancing this Weekend

See the calendar for more information. Here are some highlights.

Tonight Friday night join Brittany for Styling Accents in Social Swing Dancing at 7 pm at By Ear Musician, $15.

UF Argentine Tango Weekend with Yari Helfeld is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting with a milonga Friday night at 9 pm at Rena's. Free for UF students, $5 for other students, $12 general public.

Saturday night is Argentine Tango Milonga El Abrazo with UF Tango Weekend from 8 to 11 pm at Rosa B Williams, $10, $5 students.

Saturday night is also a Ballroom Dance with Ray and Eileen from 7:30 to 10:30 pm at Rena's Ballroom, $10, $7 students.

And for West Coast Swing dancers, on Saturday night try the American Legion Dance from 7 to 10 pm at American Legion Haisley Lynch Post 16, 4701 NW 6th Street, $7.

Sunday come out to the afternoon Vintage Waltz from 2 to 5 pm at Rena's, $10, $5 students.

$40 for 4 week series for beginners
$60 for 6 week series for experienced dancers, or
