New Classes, Swing, Waltz and Tango Tonight, Contra Saturday, Vintage Waltz Sunday, Ballroom Mini Match

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

First, for new dancers, starting on Thursday January 31, we have a four week series in Beginner Swing, Waltz and Argentine Tango with Andy, beginning at 7 pm at Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, around the left side. $60 per person for 4 weeks, skips February 8. Best time to start is with other newcomers. If you know anyone interested in starting social dancing, this is for them.

Also starting on Thursday January 31, Line Dancing with Andy at noon returns to the Senior Center. You must sign up for this via Santa Fe College Community Education. www.sfcollege.edu/cied/communityed

Lots of dancing starting up with the new year. Check the Gainesville and Ocala Dance Calendar and with individual groups for details on these and the regular dance sessions.

Come out tonight to dance Swing, Waltz and Argentine Tango with Andy starting at 7 pm at B'nai Israel, around the left side. $10

Fridays the UF Swing Club Socials are back in action. Check each week to confirm location. Free

Saturday is the monthly evening Contra Dance at the Boltin Center at 7 pm, with Waltzing at 5:30. $10

Sunday from 2 to 5 pm come out for Vintage Waltz with Richard at Rena's Ballroom. There will be a beginner lesson at the beginning. $10

Monday welcome our newest dance teacher by joining the Argentine Tango Practica and 8 Week Fundamentals Course with Trista at Rena's Ballroom from 8 to 10 pm.

Tuesday is Ballroom Dance with Liz Nelson at Independance Studio at 7:45.

Wednesday is the start of Salsa on2 Fundamentals 6 Week Course with Salsa Mundial.

Thursdays this month learn Ballroom Waltz with Ray and Eileen at Rena's Ballroom.

Next Friday is the fundraiser Dancing through the Decades with a performance by Brittany and Justin.
