The Best Dance Community, So Much Dancing

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

So much dancing, all within a five to ten minute drive, and reasonably priced. Gainesville has the best dance community that I know of. Take advantage of these opportunities.

Join us tonight Thursday October 24 for Latin Dancing, Waltz and Argentine Tango with Andy. Music the first hour will be suitable for Salsa, Bachata, Rumba, Bolero, Cha Cha and Nightclub Two Step. Waltz music the second hour will be suitable for Country, Cross Step, Slow and Rotary and maybe some Country Two Step. Some instruction. Mostly dancing. All levels welcome. No partner needed. Starts at 6:30 at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, around the left side. $10.

Join us next Thursday October 31 for a Halloween Social Dance Party with Andy. Maybe some instruction. Mostly dancing. All levels welcome. No partner needed. Starts at 6:30 at B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, around the left side. $10. Tentative schedule:
6:30 pm Salsa and Cha Cha
7:00 pm Bachata, Rumba and Nightclub Two Step
7:30 pm Hustle and West Coast Swing
8:00 pm Lindy Swing, Foxtrot, Country Two Step
8:30 pm Waltz
9:15 pm Argentine Tango

This weekend are Argentine Tango Workshops and Milonga with Ciko starting tomorrow Friday October 25 with a workshop at 6:15 in the Reitz Union basement, followed by a milonga at 8:30 pm at Rena's Ballroom. Check the calendar for workshop schedule on Saturday and Sunday.

Friday from 7 to 9 pm is Dance Dance Dance at Artwalk with Wanda at Rosa B Williams for Ballroom, Swing and Line dancing to R&B tunes. Free

Friday 8 to 11 pm is the UF Swing Club Dance Class and Halloween Social at the Boltin Center.

Saturday morning from 9 am to 1:30 pm is Leveling Up Your Balboa with Aaron and Amye in the Reitz Union basement. This is a rare chance to learn Balboa. See the calendar for the list of workshop topics. $10

Saturday night come out for a Swing Dance with Hot Rod Lincoln Band at the America Legion Haisley Lynch Post 15. $10

Also Saturday night come out for a Ballroom Dance Halloween Party with Ray and Eileen at Rena's Ballroom at 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. $15

And Saturday night come out for a Costume Smooth Flava Dance Party with Wanda at the Senior Center at 8 pm to Midnight. $15

Still more for Saturday night come out for a Balblues Dance with UF Swing Club at the Reitz Union from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am. $5

And lastly Saturday night come out for a Gator Salsa Club Halloween Social at Salsa Mundial from 9 pm to 2 am. $7
