Leap Day, Contra, Dance Alive Gala, DFW Swing, Swing Outs

Hello and Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,

Come out next week on Monday March 2 at 5:30 pm for Hustle, Waltz and Salsa with Andy and on Thursday March 5 at 7 pm for Swing, Waltz, Salsa and Argentine Tango with Andy. These are mixed level sessions, mostly dancing, some instruction. These are suitable for anyone with some dance experience. We have a Beginners Series for New dancers starting Thursday April 2. All at Congregation B'nai Israel, around the left side in the social hall, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, Gainesville, 32605. Andrew Weitzen, 352-327-3672.

On Saturday February 29 come out for the Leap Day Dance Party with Wanda from 3 to 7 pm at Thomas Center, 302 NE 6 Avenue. Wanda Lloyd, 904-537-7763.

On Saturday February 29 come out for a Contra Dance at Shir Shalom with Jonathan King from 5 to 7 pm at Shir Shalom, 3855 NW 8th Avenue, 352-371-6399. This is a fundraiser. Concert at 5 pm. Dancing at 5:30 to 7:00. Hors D'oerves included. $10

On Saturday February 29 come out for the Dance Alive Ballet Champagne Gala from 7 to 11 pm at J Wayne Reitz Union Grand Ballroom.

On Sunday March 1 come out for the monthly afternoon Contra Dance from 4 to 7 pm at Thelma Boltin Center, 516 NE 2nd Avenue.

On Tuesday and Thursday come out for DFW Swing Out Class with Wanda Lloyd from 7 to 9 pm at Bartley Temple, 1936 NE 8 Ave. Wanda Lloyd, 904-537-7763.

Next Friday March 6 is the First Fridays Social Dance Party with Wanda from 7 to 10 pm at The Elks Club, 511 SW 4 Avenue. Wanda Lloyd, 904-537-7763, $5.

Next weekend starting Friday March 6 is the Sweet Swingouts VI with Chris and UF Swing Club at 7 pm at Rion Ballroom in the Reitz Union.

Also next Friday March 6 is the Paul Taylor Dance Company at the Phillips Center from 7:30 to 9 pm at University of Florida Performing Arts, 3201 Hull Road. 352-392-2787.
