UF Swing and Tango clubs are back in session.

The last Tango Encanto is this Saturday night. Thank you for a carrying the Tango torch for the last year.

The monthly ballroom dance is also this Saturday night.

My Israeli dancing session starts again this Monday with both circle and partner dances.

Next weekend is the South Florida Lindy Exchange.

We are looking into forming a Gainesville Dance Association and renting 308 W University, the former GDMA location. If anyone is interested in dance space for a regular evening, monthly dance, day or evening sessions, practice, private lessons or anything else, let me know.

One year ago the idea of Encanto was born, and for our team it was a new learning experience, hard work, and tremendous joy and fun. In the past year, we are proud to have had the privilege to host a bi-monthly milonga where the spirits were high and the atmosphere was friendly, tolerant and relaxing; we were able to invite and host renowned tango... teachers and workshops; we had many local and out-of-town talented DJs who shared with us their unique style and music; and we met new friends from all over the USA who were pleased to find a milonga in Gainesville with such great number of friendly faces and beautiful and good dancers.

We feel that we have achieved our goals and that it is now time for all of us to move on to our next adventure. So with hearts full with gratitude, our team would like to thank you all for supporting Tango de Encanto and sharing your enthusiasm and love for tango. We all should be proud of our consistent group efforts to serve, sustain and support our Gainesville tango community.
